Something Blue for Brianna and Brady

Bride and Groom

Brianna and Brady's Annapolis, Maryland wedding was nothing short of enchanting, with subtle nautical nods.

All Things Blue

When Brady proposed at the site of their first date, Cafe Normandie in Annapolis, the couple knew they wanted to get married in the same city where their love first blossomed. Brianna's vision was for a "timeless, elegant, and fun" wedding with hues of blue.

From the smallest details like wax seals and matchboxes to the largest like a custom, modern toile pattern and an ice luge, Brianna and Brady's Shuler Monogram was incorporated stunningly throughout their wedding day.

"My wedding Pinterest board has had wedding monograms saved for years! When we met our invitation designer she recommended Shuler Studio for a custom monogram and it was a no-brainer," Brianna said.

Since both of their names start with B, Brianna admits she was a little unsure how a monogram would look with two of the same letter.

"Shuler Studio helped us create the perfect monogram with one B looking more feminine and the other more of a block font. It made for the perfect look," stated the bride.

Brianna and Brady had their wedding ceremony and reception at Whitehall, an old estate on the water. Brianna had always envisioned a waterfront ceremony, however couples married at Whitehall typically have their ceremony in the front of the house.

"It was fun to bring a new space to the property and make my vision come to life," said the bride.

The ceremony's grand floral arch featured lots of greenery and white flowers with subtle pops of blue and light pink flowers. It was the perfect ceremony backdrop with the water behind it. The arch was later relocated behind the sweetheart table at the reception!

Reception

From the ceremony, guests were ushered to cocktail hour in the tented reception space. Table centerpieces featuring blue and white ginger jars and floral compotes mixed with light blue tapered candles and bud vases continued Brianna's vision throughout the venue.

Perhaps the most striking detail of all was the custom watercolor toile pattern that Brianna and her friend designed. From wallpapered bars, to printed cocktail napkins, the toile was such classic yet personal touch in the reception space.

Bar Sign

Brianna and Brady's toile featured elements from their lives to showcase to their wedding guests. The pattern showed a matchbook from the site of their first date (Cafe Normandie), a Baltimore landmark (where they live now), the Annapolis statehouse (where Brady proposed), a bee (since they met on the Bumble dating app), a crab (signifying their home state of Maryland), and of course, their custom 2-letter monogram!

The toile was printed on one side of the bar coasters (with their Shuler monogram adorning the other side), cocktail napkins, and matchboxes as favors for their guests. A ginger jar full of monogrammed stir sticks was also made available on their custom bar.

Custom Matchboxes

The toile also made an appearance on the couple's custom seating chart: a plate wall! When searching for a seating chart to direct her guests, grandmillenial decor-loving Brianna said, "Nothing felt right until the idea of a plate wall crossed my mind."

Her father built the plate walls and Brianna helped design the custom plates, complete with the guest's names and toile which highlighted their Shuler Studio monogram in such a unique way.

Late Night Luge

As daylight dwindled and personalities came out to play, guests helped themselves to an Espresso Martini, poured down a custom ice luge in the shape of the couple's Shuler Monogram.

Bride & Groom Exit
Bride and Groom Kiss

For one final statement, the bride and groom exited through an aisle of guests with a backdrop of cold sparks. The couple shared one last kiss before riding off into their first night as husband and wife!

This is our first time to have our monogram incorporated into a toile pattern - how timeless! We loved seeing Brianna's vision play out and how the custom Shuler monogram fit right in. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of a gorgeous wedding day in Maryland!
